Dachshunds in the Park...

The forecast for the 18th is fine with a max of 27'C so we are going to make the walk slightly earlier on Sunday so it does not get too hot for the dogs. Please note there is a dog drinking water tap near the playgound otherwise please bring water for your dog.

TIME: 9.15am meeting point walk to start at 9.30am

MEETING POINT: Tomato Lake, Kewdale on the grassy area near the coffee kiosk

There is plenty of parking on Scenic Drive off Oats Street.

Due to winter and the fact that most long and low to the ground doggies don't like walking in the rain our next "Dachshunds in the Park" will be held in October 2009.

TOMATO LAKE
Tomato Lake is one of the City of Belmont's premier parks. It is a great spot to enjoy a BBQ, watch the birdlife, sip a coffee from the kiosk, watch the children play or take a leisurely stroll around the lake. The Parkland contains ample parking and toilet facilities as well as play areas for children.

The Tomato Lake Park is a total of 13.5h in total, with 7.4h of lake. There is a cyclepath that is 1.52 kilometres around the lake and a 104m boardwalk going over the lake.

Tomato Lake is located in Kewdale, with main access from Oats Street.
